From bestselling author Colleen Hoover, comes a new novel about risking everything for love – and finding your heart somewhere between the truth and lies.

‘Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover that Owen is keeping some major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…’

A huge, HUGE thank you to those gorgeous girls at The Hotbed for letting me have a copy of Colleen’s latest book. I’ve become a massive fan of Colleen and with every book I read I declare it’s my new favourite, she has this way of instantly hooking you in and then leaving you weeping over the fact you have raced through the book, only for it to be over.

Confess is no different to her other books, I quickly found myself submerged into Auburn’s world and within a few pages my heart was ripped out along with Auburn. Auburn’s life didn’t start out how she expected it and is left coping with unbearable heartache.

Years later Auburn has grown up, but her past is controlling her future. The people in her life have all the power and Auburn is helpless, in order to get what she wants she has no choice but to allow others to choose her path in life. But even with all of this going on Auburn is a fighter and it’s because she lives the life chosen for her it shows her strength and courage and makes her so incredibly real. It’s impossible not to like Auburn and understand the choices she has made.

One night, whilst desperately looking for work she comes across a sign in a window “Help Wanted. Knock to apply.” And this is how she meats artist Owen, he is instantly loveable. Owen is eccentric and seems a little caotic but the first time he sees Auburn his life becomes clear, this is the girl of his dreams. This is the girl he never imagined he would see again but she has no idea that he k ows who she is because they have never actually met. They crossed paths years ago and She didnt even notice him.

Owen sells his art in a studio where strangers are allowed to anonymously leave confessions, this is where he gets his inspiration from, and this is how they come to be in each others lives. Owen desperate for help hires Auburn to help him and she agrees. The chemistry between them is instant and Auburn finds herself doing things she would never normally do with anyone else. Auburn is falling in love and Owen is just as in love with her, only they can’t be together. The people in Auburn’s life have forbidden it and she knows she can’t risk a relationship with Owen. Owen however, has secrets of his own and his could destroy any chance him and Auburn have.

I feel as though I’ve been very cloak and dagger with this review. But this is genuinely a case of if I say anything it could ruin just how beautiful this book is and it truly is a beautiful thing. Their relationship has everything going against them and the way Colleen writes has us, the reader, desperately wishing and hoping they can overcome the hurdles and be together.

Confess is different to any book I’ve ever read, within the book each confession is a TRUE confession from Colleen’s readers. While some will shock you, others will have you thinking how brave this people are.

Confess is beautifully sweet yet full of suspense. It was completely compelling and I fell in love with Owen!

Confess Is out TOMORROW and absolutely unmissable.
