But as she battles against a new threat, can she really forsake those closest to her in order to save the world? Will everyone Eve loves survive?’
Everyone STOP what you are doing…. Eve and Seth are BACK!
If you haven’t yet read The Sentinel, I have only one question… WHY THE F$#K NOT? It’s one hell of a book that left us in a state of panic as we realised that yes Holly was keeping us on the edge of our seats in terror as to what was to come next.
But after waiting and waiting and waiting….. and waiting, FINALLY we can catch up with our old friends and go on the adventure of a lifetime.
Eve is in even more danger that ever, the bounty on her head increases often with more and more enemies than ever before. She can no longer trust anyone other than her own guards, even those who created her are divided over wether to destroy her or stand by her as she grows stronger and more powerful. It shocks and scares not only them but Eve herself. Eve is basking in her newly developed powers but not all her new powers are so enjoyable. It’s seems she is having visions of what is to come, and what she sees only scares her more. Seeing herself drowing in a pool and Seth being stabbed is no picnic but can Eve prevent them from happening? As Eve and Seth’s love grows stronger so does her enemies desire to kill Seth in order to weaken Eve. It seems no one and nothing is safe around Eve.
I just don’t know to even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this book. Holly has done nothing but tease us the whole time we have waited and she has been refusing to give clues and it’s had us to resort to extreme measures of bribing to gleam just something small.
Eve and Seth’s relationship plays a huge part in this book and creates something within Eve that genuinely had me giddy with excitement, I was fist pumping and shouting YEAH…
My personal favourites are still Quinn and Eli. I love their over-protective nature and I particularly love how dad like Eli behaves towards Eve. I really really loved newcomer Zach, he has a twinkle in his eye and that’s all I need to be suckered in.
Holly writes with such brilliant detail and excitement, you become transported within the pages and feel as though you are standing side by side with Eve ready to fight and save the world. Her magic with words has you easily engrossed and racing through the pages with you heart throbbing against your chest.
Holly’s writing is exciting, fresh and compelling. Not only are we getting a kickass heroine, we are falling in love with Eve’s love story. I just wish she could write as fast as I read!
