‘He makes the rules…

Mafiya enforcer Aleksei “The Siberian” Sevastyan’s loyalty to his boss knows no bounds, until he meets the boss’s long-lost daughter, a curvy, feisty redhead who haunts his mind and heats his blood like no other. Ordered to protect her, Aleksei will do anything to possess her as well–on his own wicked terms.

Rules are made to be broken…

Grad student Natalie Porter had barely recovered from her first sight of the dark and breathtaking Sevastyan before the professional enforcer whisks her away to Russia, thrusting her into a world of extreme wealth and wanton pleasures. Every day under his protection leads her deeper under his masterful spell.

Are you ready to play?

Yet all is not as it seems. To remove Natalie from an enemy’s reach, Sevastyan spirits her into hiding. From an opulent palace in Russia to the decadent playgrounds of the mega-wealthy in Paris, the two lovers will discover that even their darkest–and most forbidden–fantasies can come true…’

Thank you to the lovely girls at The Hot Bed for sending me The Professional, wow, those girls have never steered me wrong yet!

The Professional is the story of Natalie who has been looking for her birth parents for quite some time, with the help of private investigators, what she doesn’t know is that she put herself in danger just by searching. On a girls night out, Natalie spots Sevastyan at a bar and approaches him only to be knocked back. Once back home and in the bath Natalie discovers that same man standing in her bathroom watching her. He demands she gets dressed and ready to leave, she soon discovers that he has been sent by her real dad and she is in danger if she stays. All too quickly he has her dressed packed and on a plane to meet her real dad, after attempting to run at the airport and Sevastyan catching her she realises that she really has no choice in the matter.

Although Sevastyan has been sent to watch over Natalie, the sexual chemistry is almost too much and when on the plane the two of them find themselves giving into their needs. Only Natalie is a virgin and Sevastyan is very, VERY experienced. He presumes Natalie is different so is surprised to find out otherwise. Sevastyan vows that he will never touch her again, her dad is like a father to him and he won’t compromise her safety for anything.

Natalie is fearful of the powerful man who is her father and what she is now a part of. He has many enemies, who are putting her in grave danger. So she must put her trust in strangers in order to survive.

Natalie wants Sevastyan, never before has she wanted a man so much, after a string of disastrous and failed attempts at losing her virginity she is determined to have Sevastyan take her virginity, but he is determined to keep her away. He warns her continually but Natalie doesn’t let him intimidate her, she can tell that he wants her just as much as she wants him.

With the world now at her feet and life has taken a complete u-turn for Natalie, once holding down three jobs, she now has enough money to buy whatever she wishes. But she is in danger from her fathers enemies.

Natalie is a really likeable heroine. She’s is in over her head by the raw sexuality that Sevastyan exudes, but she quickly discovers her own desires once she comes against Sevastyan. I loved her relationship with her father, it was so lovely to watch her grow so fond of him. I loved how she became a bit of a game player with Sevastyan and when she should of been terrified of him she was actually turned on.

Sevastyan is a REAL and PROPER alpha male, he is possessive, domineering, powerful and dangerous. Smothered in tattoos and scars he was found in the streets and a fighter, he has had stints in prison and has and would kill for Natalie’s real father. Sevastyan is a REAL bad boy, there is no fluff and romance with this guy. He blows hot and cold with Natalie one minute he can’t keep his hands off her taking her to new heights of sexual pleasure then the next minute he can’t even look at her. There was never a middle ground. The badder and meaner he got the more I absolutely loved him.

I loved the never knowing what the hell was going to happen next, as well as the Natalie and Sevastyan love/hate side of the story I adored the action packed side of the story. I loved how Sevastyan vowed to protect Natalie for life and his willingness to kill anyone that bore a threat to her. I also loved that Natalie knew her mind sexually, she knew what she wanted and made Sevastyan give it to her.

Kresley Cole’s writing is scorching and will make you crave a man you never knew you needed.

The Professional has now become one of my favourite reads. I was quickly wrapped up in the storyline and found myself desperate to read it as quick as possible, it’s dangerous, sizzling, slick and enthralling!

You can get The Professional on both kindle which comes in three parts and in paperback, which is just the one book.
