Today I am sharing with you a super guest post from Jules Wake.
‘Olivia and Daniel certainly aren’t talking the language of love …
Olivia has been in love with Daniel forever but, despite her best efforts, they’ve never been able to get it together. Their relationship has always been a series of mixed messages and misunderstandings and the final straw comes when Daniel mysteriously starts dating her flatmate, Emily. Hurt and confused, Olivia resolves to forget her heartache with a spot of speed dating. After all, what could possibly go wrong?
One crazy stalker later and Olivia’s life is becoming increasingly strange and scary. Can she rely on Daniel to step in when events take a terrifying turn or will their communication breakdown ultimately result in tragedy?’
Over to you Jules:
Hi Victoria and thanks for having me on your book blog. Like you I adore books and have done so since I could read. There are books in every room in my house because there are so many I can’t bear to part with. My to be read pile is ginormous, let alone what’s on my kindle. As a result I also love anything book related, so I thought I’d share with a fellow book lover some of my favourite things and cool stuff that has caught my eye …
Like these fabulous penguin pencils
Gorgeous book ends
And then are notebooks … I have a ton
I just adore these clever handbags made out of books
but this is my favourite and full of scribbled notes for my next novel.
So I was thrilled when my dear friend, Sam, commissioned this one just for me, made from my book cover. How cool is this?
And then there’s book art
My sister bought me this fabulous poster, the print is text from the original novel of Pride and Prejudice which is still my all-time favourite book and I re-read it every year. For me it’s the original chick lit romance!
To celebrate the launch of my debut novel, my gorgeous friend Justine made this picture using the front cover of my book (a colour copy I hasten to add!)
Having these led me to discover that there’s a whole world out there of amazing artists who use books as an artistic medium …
The Book Cell built entirely from books by Slovenian artist Matej Kren
I’m running out of space for my books, I could do with some of these fabulous and unusual bookshelves – this is one of my favourites and great recycling too!
This one is pretty funky
And this one is a great use of space, although if I had one of these I’ve no idea where I’d put the coats, shoes, bags and other rubbish.
If I had my way, this would be my perfect reading room, it looks so relaxing.
And this would be my perfect writing room
Thanks for having me visit today, I wonder what other book related items there are?
