There’s only one man for Bonnie, and that’s Holden Finn.

The problem is that Holden Finn is a twenty-three-year-old pop megastar with his boy band, Every Which Way, and has no idea she exists. Not only that, but half the women in the world want to be Mrs Finn, including Bonnie’s teenage daughter, Paige. The real men in Bonnie’s life do nothing but let her down, but a man you can’t possibly have can never do that… right? She’s safe inside her fantasy bubble.

Then Paige wins a radio competition to meet Holden and the band, and Bonnie’s carefully-constructed world starts to unravel. She is about to find out that you should be very, very careful what you wish for …’

I could not wait to get reading and when I started it I finished it within hours, I just NEEDED to get to the end of it. Once I started, I couldn’t stop.

Bonnie, a single mum after being completely abandoned by her ex, spends her daydreams on popster royalty Holden Finn. Bonnie writes letters to him declaring her love but he never gets them, she burns them.

Paige, her teenage daughter, and Paige’s best friend win a competition to meet Holden Finn and his band in the flesh. Finally Bonnie and Paige’s dreams are coming true, they will finally meet their dream crush.

What Bonnie doesn’t expect, whilst drooling over Holden, is that he rather fancies Bonnie himself. In fact he is so taken with a shocked Bonnie he throws himself at her. But turning down Holden isn’t something he is used to.

Not only does Bonnie have Holden trying to win her affections, but at work the delivery guy, Max, is also harbouring a not so secret crush on Bonnie. But Bonnie doesn’t take Max seriously and brushes him off repeatedly.

Will Holden win Bonnie’s heart?

What did I love? Oh I just loved everything. I did. It made me proper belly laugh.

I loved how Bonnie’s mum was still a complete punk rocker and danced around the living in leather pants, this reminded me of my own nan.

The second we meet Max he is instantly likeable and I won’t lie I developed a bit of a crush for him. He was so obviously in love with Bonnie but she didn’t seem to even notice.

Paige was brilliantly written, she was a typical teenager yet underneath all her bravado we could tell that she really cared and adored her mum and nan. Which I believe is true of all teenagers.

Holden was everything you expect of a popstar, that is until you really get to know him. How he tried to win Bonnie over had me laughing my head off and cringing at the same time. Bless his heart.

Bonnie, what a fantastic lead character for us to fall in love with. Hard working and would do anything for anyone, yet harbouring a HUGE crush on a young male popstar.

What’s so brilliant about the plot of this story is we have ALL had a crush on a celebrity at one point, we have all daydreamed about what it would be like to have them return our affection. Which makes this an absolutely compelling read, because it isn’t your typical “famous man dates ordinary girl” story. This has hilarious outcomes that you never see coming.

Tilly has woven together a truly brilliant story that will have you rolling around laughing, swooning over and falling in love with.

Charming, Sweet, Laugh-out-loud funny and absolutely unputdownable.

I cannot recommend this enough.
