Ruth loves nothing more than curling up in front of the telly with a family-sized bar of chocolate. She doesn’t do diets and she certainly doesn’t do exercise. But all that changes when she’s invited to her school reunion.
Bullied at school for being overweight, Ruth’s first reaction is to rip the invitation into a million pieces. But then Ruth hatches a plan. She’ll lose the weight and arrive at the reunion looking gorgeous and glamorous, leaving her old classmates in awe. Especially her former crush, Zack O’Connell.
With the help of her friends and a new, unbelievably hot colleague, Ruth begins her transformation. With six months until the reunion, losing weight will be a piece of cake, right?
I would like to thank Jennifer for allowing me to take part in her blog tour.
What a truly heartfelt story this was.
Ruth was humiliated by a boy she really liked growing up, because of her weight.
Now years later, she is still over weight and is faced with a dreaded school reunion where she will come face to face with Zack. So she goes on a mission to loose weight and wow him.
Ruth tries every available diet known to man, some with awful side effects. Some that don’t work at all.
As well as dieting we have her love life, well I will leave that for you to find out about!
This was such a good read that i couldn’t put down. I found myself so drawn to Ruth and was wishing that she would realise she didn’t have to loose weight for anyone but herself and her own happiness.
I loved the secondary characters as much as I did Ruth and was rooting for each one to find happiness.
This was a brilliant read that captured my interest and had me genuinely desperate to find out how the story would finish!
