Having young children I read so many children’s books, and I’m always on the look out for those little gems that you will read time and time again. This book ticks that box with absolute ease.

Little Duncan turns up to class one day with lots of letters addressed to him. Each letter is from each colour crayon explaining how they feel. The pink is pretty cross that he hasn’t been used all year long. The blue is ecstatic to be Duncan’s favourite colour but needs a break because his getting very short.

The entire book is filled with humour for both adults and kids alike.

As for the illustrations if you aren’t aware of Oliver Jeffers, well you should be. His an amazing artist and helps to bring the story to life through his pictures.

A really fantastic book that I cannot recommend enough.
