‘ Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the states and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well – until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street, where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmicheal is used to getting her want he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposed an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realises that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her…. Down to her soul.’

So where to start… It’s tough I want to dive straight in and tell you all about the VERY HOT MAN, but first….
I started reading this book for part of Author Sophie Hart’s twitter book club, and boy am I pleased I did.

This was such a riveting read, one I found compelled to finish as quick as is humanly possible. (I even read it by the light of my phone in the cinema!)

Jocelyn leaving her tragic past behind moves over to Scotland in a bid to put it all behind her. Looking for a new home and roommate she grabs a taxi at the exact moment a VERY handsome and SEXY man does and who instantly takes a liking to Jocelyn. But she makes it very clear that she isn’t interested in him.

Jocelyn finds a new home and roommate Ellie. Jocelyn is an incredibly private person and holds people at arms length, whereas Ellie is warm, open and bursting with love.

Settling into her new home and making the most of an empty flat she has a long soak in the bath, only when she decides to get out, she realises she has no towels. Making a run for the bedroom she crashes into Mr Sexy from the Taxi, IN HER FLAT. Turns out Braden is Ellie’s brother.

Her feelings for Braden are quite something, and she has never felt like this for another man before. Desperate to keep her quiet life, she tries her hardest to keep him at arms length, only Braden has made it very clear that wont be happening.

Eventually giving into her needs, she and Braden make a pact to become ‘friends with benefits’ only Braden keeps breaking all the rules, causing Jocelyn to constantly freak out.

Will Braden ever be able to brake down her sky high walls and will Jocelyn ever be able to let someone in?

What’s fantastic about this book is that the secondary characters within the book aren’t merely lurking in the background that we don’t care too much about their outcomes. We do, and I found myself wrapped up in Ellie’s story too.

Throughout the book I wanted to bang Jocelyn’s head against a wall….HARD!
I mean this Braden was absolutely edible in every way, no matter what crap Jocelyn threw his way he accepted it and worked harder to make her see sense.

This was an absolute page turner that grabs you, seduces you, makes you fall in love then spits you out with a knee trembling crush!

Here is where to grab a copy, but hands off Braden his mine 😉
