I pondered over this question for too long, thinking I am never going to be able to pick just one, but I managed to whittle it down to two Meet Me at The Cupcake Café by Jenny Colgan or On The Island by Tracey Garvis Graves. These are the two books that I continually find myself recommending to people but I think The Cupcake Café is going to be my winner!
What I loved about Meet Me at The Cupcake Café is the cosy and friendly feel in the café that really shines through in this book. The main characters are all a joy to read and they feel like real friends of ours. The romance that blossoms between Issy and Austin is beautiful to watch grow. I have read this book three times over and is one of the few books I can’t bring myself to lend to a friend although I recommend it all the time. If the storyline isn’t enough to win you over then there is also a delicious recipe at the beginning of each chapter. What more could you wish for!
