My favourite book by Liz

Today it is the turn of Liz, find out what HA had to say about her favourite book.

When lovely blogger Victoria asked me for some thoughts on my favourite book, my mind went immediately to The Stand by Stephen King.

Still at No 1 in my books of all time list, in a very real way this novel set me off on my love of reading, something that has stayed with me in my life no matter what other interests come and go.. And the one that started my reading relationship with Mr King – I became one of his “constant readers” and so am I now. Nothing he publishes passes me by – and every single one has been enjoyed, re-read and I have oh so many tattered and loved copies of his novels dotted around my house.
Its one of those books where years after reading it, I think back on the characters, how I left them, and even wonder what they could be up to now, as if they were real people occupying some alternate universe where everything in the book actually occurred in reality. And then I’ll re-read it AGAIN and search for answers. So I love it. Because it was my first and because no matter how many times I pick it up, it never fails to surprise me once again.
