Ruby IS BACK and never expected to be starting over…. But after a shocking bereavement, she begins to question whether or not she will ever be happy again.
A chance encounter with author Michael Bell throws her fragile heart into turmoil. Plus, a dark family secret and completely unexpected love interest ads to her confusion.
Encouraged to face her demons, she volunteers at The Bow Wow Club – (Boyfriends of Widows, Wives of Widowers).

Firstly can I just say I think this may just be my most favourite book cover EVER! It’s just beautiful.
I was lucky enough to be given this by the author Nicola May to review, it’s the first book I have read of hers and it certainly won’t be the last.

Ruby, struggling to cope with a shocking bereavement, she is left feeling like she will never be happy again. She gets mugged then rescued by the very handsome Michael Bell. Who is an author trying to write his first book. Wronged by his ex-fiancé and best friend Michael finds his inspiration for his story in Ruby.
Margaret, Ruby’s neighbour, gives Ruby a leaflet for The Bow Wow Club, to which she soon becomes a volunteer. It’s a group for people who are dating widows. The group leader is Simon, his camp, outrageous, hilarious, naughty and kind.
Fi, Ruby’s best friend is an insatiable sex fiend who finds herself in a rather sticky situation. She is a wonderfully funny character who I would really like to know more about. Maybe a book on her happy ever after?

This book is all about loss and finding love and happiness after all the sadness. It is perfectly touching but also laugh out loud hilarious. (I snorted in public). The characters are easy to love, the balance of their filthy sense of humour but kind and caring nature makes it so. I really enjoyed reading this, its had me laughing and shouting in frustration at characters for taking SO long to figure things out, which kept me turning the pages.

Before reading this I hadn’t read Working It Out which is the book before this, but I certainly will be now.
I will now also be buying the paperback version as this cover needs to be sitting on my shelf 😉

If you want a touching story that will make you laugh like a pig in public this is the one!
